what is lovell & paris?

Not just results. Success.

Public relations can be exhausting and expensive. Public affairs can be bureaucratic and slow. It’s often hard to see how either translates to the bottom line. Unless you work with Lovell & Paris. We’re from the real world. Our style is unique and collaborative. We’re intuitive. We’re polished. We get the job done.

Public Relations. Public Affairs. Capacity.

KNOWING YOU INSIDE OUT

We take pride in being some of our clients’ strongest allies and confidantes. That’s a testament to the fact that we take the time to get to know you, your industry, and your market. Let’s have coffee. You’ll see what we mean.

BEING CREATIVE

Most of our brilliance comes to us while driving down the road. Or in the shower. Or at dinner. Or while we’re voraciously reading about new market segments, the opera, or housing prices in Boise. We’re full of ideas. Good ones. We can’t help it.

DELIVERING ON EXPECTATIONS

Yes, we excel at strategy. But, what differentiates us from the competition is that we see execution as just as important. The success of your effort does not hinge upon some junior staffer like at other firms. Here, the proof is in the pudding.

how can we help your organization?

Our Services

Executive & Corporate Visibility

Add your voice to the conversation through a series of well cultivated and nicely timed opportunities — including print and broadcast interviews, bylines, blog posts, speaking engagements, and awards.

Capacity & Project Management

We provide capacity to organizations that need an extra set of skilled hands. Examples include website launch, advertising campaigns, sponsorship maximization, fundraising strategy, and membership recruitment.

Social Media Strategy

How do you stay engaged on social media with the folks who truly matter, and how do you coerce them into taking your desired action? And how do you find the time in your day to even think about this stuff when you have a hundred other things happening? Let us help.

Content Marketing & Copywriting

Attract and retain customers with compelling, timely, and relevant content across platforms. Let us design an editorial process, format, and style — or manage and [ghost]write your editorial calendar.

Media Relations & Strategy

From the New York Times to your local trade journal, we’d be glad to help you build rapport with the reporters, editors, and producers who are telling the stories important to your constituencies.

Press Conferences & Events

Big announcement? New acquisition? Exciting milestone? Bad news? Let us help you design an event that ensures your most lucrative storylines are front and center. And oh yeah. We’ll get the right folks there too.

Crisis Communication

Whether in planning or triage mode, we can help shorten or eliminate the media cycle — all the while ensuring that the internal lines of communication stay open. We’d tell you more, except we can’t.

Launch Campaigns & PR Plans

Let us design and execute a campaign to get your new effort off and running — from positioning to press releases, we’re the team you want on your side.

Coalition Building

This isn’t about distributing a zillion press releases. This is about effecting real change at the grassroots and grasstops. We can help you meet with the right folks, get them excited about your idea, and design a process to keep them engaged.

Kelsey Goldsmith

Co-Founder, President
Kelsey Goldsmith, an award winning strategist, co-founded Lovell & Paris after a decade of experience in the industry. She is known for her intuitive nature, polish, and ability to get the job done. Prior, she served as staffer to former U.S. Senator Olympia J. Snowe, a nonprofit and trade association executive with experience living and working in the Middle East, and a media relations manager committed to maximizing visibility efforts for small- and mid-sized organizations throughout New England. She has effected high-level success in terms of increasing message pull through and mentions, devising and executing complex firm and executive visibility campaigns, managing crisis communication, maximizing sponsorship and fundraising, increasing membership, and more. She holds a B.A. in history, is a graduate of the Collaborative Management Institute, and earned a master’s degree in public administration from The University of Vermont. Kelsey’s efforts were recognized in 2013 by the Maine Public Relations Council for extraordinary achievement and outstanding work in the profession.
garrett goldsmith

garrett goldsmith

co-founder, vice president
Garrett Goldsmith is not a public affairs or public relations practitioner. Instead, he teaches middle school math and coaches high school tennis. At one point years ago, he was daring enough to marry Kelsey — hence his presence here today. But, Garrett has always dreamed of running his own business and, turns out, it comes quite naturally. The engine that keeps the firm running, Garrett crunches numbers by candlelight, keeps the office well-stocked with caffeine, and oversees the firm’s interns. He also advises on public affairs policy from time to time and, as a logistics master, pitches in to assist at events and press conference. A graduate of St. Joseph’s College of Maine and a certified school administrator, Garrett is a leader in adopting and promoting mass customized learning. He’s also becoming quite handy in the renovation of the family’s modest farmhouse in Yarmouth, Maine. Most of all, he loves being a dad to Rosemary — and hopes that one day Kelsey will let him get a dog.
